Abraham de Sola
A rabbi, scholar, and lecturer whose intellect propelled him to become Professor of Hebrew and Oriental Literature and Lecturer in Spanish Literature at �鶹��ý��վ.

Carrie Derick
The first female full professor at any Canadian university who helped establish the study of Genetics at �鶹��ý��վ.

Maude Abbott
A brilliant medical researcher and a tireless voice in the struggle to admit women to �鶹��ý��վ's medical school.

�鶹��ý��վ is on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge and thank the diverse Indigenous peoples whose presence marks this territory on which peoples of the world now gather. The �鶹��ý��վ Libraries recognize the harm that cultural heritage organizations, as colonial institutions, have inflicted on Indigenous peoples. We are committed to the ongoing process of reconciliation as a way to begin to right these wrongs.
