Imagine that you are in the spotlight as the speaker, for a prepared or impromptu delivery. All of a sudden, you have a dry mouth, and your thoughts freeze. The room might be spinning. It’s a horrible moment for a presenter.

This interactive workshop builds on practice opportunities and constructive feedback to confront unexpected and uncomfortable moments while we are on the stage. We’ll discuss core elements as a speaker including: presence, engagement with the audience, and handling tough questions.

This session will provide information on Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾'s Policy on Harassment and Discrimination and Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾â€™s Policy against Sexual Violence and related resources as well as how to respond to disclosures and/or formally report harassment, discrimination, or sexual violence. Participants will apply what they’ve learned via discussion of case studies. The workshop will be led by the Office for Mediation and Reporting (OMR) and the Office for Sexual Violence Response, Support and Education (OSVRSE), and conducted online via Zoom.

This is an ideal course as a Lean refresher or for those with limited time. In the Lean "Service+" simulation, participants learn to identify 8 types of common work wastes and discover the appropriate lean tools and techniques for reducing or eliminating those wastes. The centerpiece of the course is a simulation showing the same process before and after the application of LEAN.Ìý
