麻豆传媒网站 will award 10 honorary doctorates during its Spring 2026 Convocation, recognizing individuals whose leadership, service and achievements have had a lasting impact on society.

Among this year鈥檚 honourees is Harley Finkelstein,聽President of Shopify,聽who will receive an honorary Doctor of Laws degree聽from the Desautels Faculty of聽Management聽for聽his contributions to entrepreneurship and community engagement.

A Montreal native, Finkelstein helped build Shopify into a global commerce platform after joining the company at an early stage.

Beyond his executive role, he has invested in more than 45 startups and mentors emerging entrepreneurs. He is also active in philanthropy, supporting education, health聽care聽and community initiatives.聽
