South Asian Studies Students Association (SASSA)

SASSA is the student association that represents the South Asian Studies minor program here at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾. The South Asian Studies program is an interdisciplinary minor housed in the History and Classical Studies department. The goal of SASSA is to promote the growth of South Asian academics by fostering a community andÌýholding various events throughout the year. Throughout the year, SASSA hosts academic events such as panels, mixers with professors and TAs, and language speaking sessions. SASSA also holds cultural events to celebrate South Asian festivals and holidays; creating spaces to foster community through sharing food, art, and music. Our association also runs the student-led journal, Harf, which publishes writing and artwork from people all over the world.
