James Gazetas

James Gazetas completed his high school studies at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf and is now starting his second year of CEGEP at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf in the Health Sciences Program to complete his seven years at the school.

Born with a distinct curiosity, James’ academic interests were primarily science centered. He even came third after signing in last minute to the school’s local chemistry competition (2017).

Aside from academics, James’ passion is usually centered around sports (hockey, soccer, basketball and others) and people. He volunteered at the Neurological Institute of Montreal passing with a cart to talk to patients in the hopes of lifting their spirits and giving them something to look forward to everyday. He also volunteers at least twice a week at his school nursery.

His task at the Douglas will primarily consist of familiarizing himself with the hypothalamic-pituitary region and previous research concerning the Ice storm Project, data-entry and segmenting the pituitary under the supervision of PhD Sherri Lee Jones.
