  • Promote initiatives and events
  • Encourage meaningful dialogue across platforms

At the heart of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾â€™s social media presence are the people who make the university what it is. From students sharing their campus experiences to researchers driving innovation, our platforms highlight the individuals whose work, stories, and contributions shape the University’s identity.

Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾â€™s digital voice reflects our commitment to positive social impact, academic leadership, and global engagement.

Centrally managed accounts

Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾â€™s centrally managed social media accounts are maintained by the Communications and Institutional Relations social media team. These accounts represent the University’s official voice and are responsible for:

  • Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾â€™s values
  • Maintaining a trusted and authoritative digital presence
  • Sharing institutional announcements, research highlights, and community stories
  • Supporting campus-wide initiatives and crisis communication when required

Centrally managed accounts include official profiles on , , , *, , , , and .

*Important: Only Central Communications is authorized to operate a TikTok account. Faculties, departments, units, and affiliated organizations may not create or manage independent TikTok accounts. This restriction is based on platform-specific considerations related to governance, privacy, compliance, and content oversight.

Participation and collaboration

Faculties, departments, and units are allowed to use social media to engage with their communities. To ensure alignment with University standards:

  • Units must consult the central social media team before creating, naming, or launching any new social media account, regardless of platform
  • Content contributions must support Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾â€™s institutional and communication priorities
  • Submissions may be edited for tone, accuracy, and brand consistency
  • Units are bound by Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾â€™s visual identity guidelines for avatars and design elements

Units may also submit content ideas or requests for potential publication on Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾â€™s central social media channels. All submissions will be reviewed by the central social media team and evaluated based on institutional priorities, relevance, accuracy, timing, and available capacity.

While not all submissions will be accepted, Central Communications encourages units to share content that highlights academic excellence, student experience, research impact, and community engagement.

Moderation and conduct

Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ fosters freedom of expression while valuing respect and collegiality. Participants on our social media channels are expected to treat each other — and us — with respect.

We reserve the right to remove:

  • Comments deemed offensive, vulgar, or profane
  • Comments off-topic or unrelated to posted content
  • Content that promotes services or products
  • Content that infringes on an individual's safety, privacy, or copyright

Users may be blocked after repeated breaches.

The views expressed by participants, invitees, experts, guests, or other individuals on Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾â€™s social media channels are not necessarily the views of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾. We do not endorse any opinions expressed by users, nor accept responsibility or liability for their comments, statements, or claims.

Content generated using AI tools must be reviewed for tone, accuracy, and alignment with Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾â€™s values. AI-generated comments or replies are subject to the same moderation standards.
