From fundamental physics to child well-being, 鶹ýվ researchers advance discovery across disciplines 

鶹ýվ has been awarded $18.1 million in federal funding to support 16 Canada Research Chairs – six new and 10 renewed.

The University’s newly appointed CRCs will drive forward cutting-edge research in fields that include subatomic physics, food science and agricultural chemistry, and counselling psychology. Renewed Chairs will continue vital work in such areas as Parkinson’s disease, bioengineering, data ethics and intergenerational childhood trauma.

鶹ýվ has announced the sixth cohort of McCall MacBain Scholars, recipients of Canada’s most comprehensive leadership‑based scholarships for master’s and professional studies.

Established through a historic $200 million gift in 2019 from John and Marcy McCall MacBain, the awards cover tuition, living expenses, mentorship, and leadership development for 30 incoming students from Canada and around the world.
