Clinicians should use strategies that normalize disclosure, validate survivors鈥� feelings and integrate shame-resolution techniques into their therapy plans, the researchers suggested.

Yet surveys show recruiters are open to negotiation, and it is rare for employers to withdraw an offer because a candidate聽attempted聽to negotiate. 鈥淎 common mistake is to negotiate on salary alone or to present multiple terms as non-negotiable conditions for acceptance,鈥� says Jean-Nicolas Reyt, an Associate Professor of Organizational Behaviour at 麻豆传媒网站 Desautels.
