Wei-Ting Hung, MD, PhDWei-Ting Hung Headshopt

Dr. Wei-Ting graduated from Chung Shan Medical University, Taiwan in 2005. She received her Ph.D. degree in 2021 from the Institute of Clinical Medicine at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan.

Dr. Hung completed her residency training in internal medicine at Taichung Veterans General Hospital and then undertook subspecialty training in allergy, immunology, and rheumatology. Dr. Hung has served as an attending physician at the lupus clinics of Taichung Veterans General Hospital since 2012. She was recruited to the Division of Faculty Development in 2015 due to her enthusiasm and outstanding performance in clinical teaching. Because of her continuous contribution to medical education, she received the award of “Best Teaching Attending Physician of the Year” in 2016 and 2020.

Dr. Hung is responsible for the design and development of the faculty development program. She has used needs assessment and class feedback to refine the program. Dr. Hung initiated several educational research projects since she joined the Division of Faculty Development. Currently, her research focuses on interprofessional education and faculty development implementation. To enhance her skills in medical education, she decided to pursue a secondary degree in health profession education.
