Training Event | Demystifying Data Science
Join us for a 2-hour introductory training on how data science powers modern genomics and RNA research within D2R. After a brief overview of what 鈥渄ata science鈥� really means in our context, four short talks will highlight its key pillars: machine learning (Hamed Najafabadi), biostatistics聽(Jos茅e Dupuis), ethics and governance of data use聽(Ma鈥檔 H. Zawati), and bioinformatics and computational pipelines聽(Guillaume Bourque). The session will conclude with an interactive panel discussion where trainees can ask questions and explore practical challenges in their own projects. This event is designed for students and fellows from all backgrounds who want a concise, big-picture view of the data science toolkit behind D2R.
