Mastercard Foundation Scholars Lean Startup

The program, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, is designed to train, educate, and empower Mastercard Foundation Scholars at Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾. Through interactive workshops, mentorship, and peer learning, participants will be introduced to the world of entrepreneurship and acquire tangible tools to establish ventures that drive meaningful socio-economic impact in their communities.

  • Introduction to the entrepreneurial journey through an African lens

  • Understand your market and what matters to customers

  • Identify your problem and design your solution

  • Articulate your value proposition

  • Craft and communicate the key elements of a business plan

  • Establish realizable goals for your startup

Program format

Dates: January - March 2026

Hybrid program: sessions will be virtual and in-person at the Dobson Centre to accommodate our global network of speakers and mentors.
