ECPs Dr. Nathan Smith Featured in SEDE 2012-2013 Calendar

The SEDE Calendar project showcases the talent, hard work and dedication of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ staff, students, faculties, local artists and community organizations. Dr. Nathan Smith, Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology was featured in the month of May in the Social Equity & Diversity Education 2012-2013 Calendar!

The calendar highlights Dr. Smiths' Project PRIDE (Promoting Resilience in Discriminatory Environments). Project PRIDE is a group psychotherapy intervention for young gay and bisexual men who are HIV-negative or serostatus unsure. The intervention focuses on helping participants successfully cope with anti-gay/bisexual discrimination and develop positive gay/bisexual identities. The primary goals of Project PRIDE are to decrease HIV risk behaviors and to increase psychological well-being. This project is funded by the Institute of Infection and Immunity of the
