Hiring someone and not sure where to begin?

The information below applies only to hiring within the Biology Department. Other departments must follow their own internal procedures.

Most positions are unionized (AMUSE, AMURE, MUNACA, etc.), which means specific posting, compensation, and offer‑letter requirements must be followed. The admin office reviews each proposed job description to determine the correct job category. Once confirmed, the hiring process can take 3 weeks to 6 months, and immigration steps may extend the timeline.
