Bring your call-to-action blocks to the dark side

You can now choose between light (white background with black text) and dark (black background with white text) styles when creating call-to-action blocks in the new WMS.

A dark option is available for both layout and global call-to-action (CTA) blocks:

  • Layout blocks: Find the control in the Style field.
  • Global blocks: Find the control under Theme support when configuring the block.

Regular CTA blocks default to the light style, while "Call-to-Action - without image" blocks default to the dark style.

This replaces the "enhanced" style in the old WMS, which allowed you to adjust the view mode settings to give CTA blocks without images a black background.

When to go dark mode

Using a dark CTA can help highlight your most important action or create a sense of visual rhythm on a page.
