DESCRIPTION:As part of its Personal and Cultural Enrichment (PACE) offering
 s\, the School of Continuing Studies is excited to introduce a new program
 ming series\, One Day @ Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾.    One Day @ Â鶹´«Ã½Íøվ will present seminars 
 that allow attendees first-hand access to a Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ experience. Held on the
  Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ campus\, these affordable small-group sessions are uniq
 ue educational opportunities in which you are able to access in-depth know
 ledge produced by our academic community. All seminars will be held on Sat
 urdays from 10:30 - 3:30.On October 19\, The Buildings All Around Us is th
 e inaugural seminar presented by Prof. Nancy Dutton (Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ School of Arch
 itecture). In the first part of the seminar\, participants will learn how 
 to observe a building in the downtown area using images and a site visit. 
 The second part will focus on how to find out more about that building and

 ienna Fin-de-Siècle and the Birth of Modernismpresented by Prof. Adrian Sh
 eppard (Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ School of Architecture). The seminar will be devoted to loo
 king at and reflecting upon Vienna’s contribution to Modernism\, but the e
 mphasis will be placed on architecture\, the visual arts and urban plannin
