In September, Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ will be hosting the Sustainable Futures Festival, a week-long series of events that invite the Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ community, as well as partners and guests, to envision a collective future.

Â鶹´«Ã½Íøվ’s bicentennial anniversary represents a momentous occasion for our community. It is as much a time to celebrate our long history of achievement as it is an opportunity for reflection as we chart the course for our third century.
About the Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ Sustainability Systems Initiative
Shifting to a more sustainable future requires taking a multi-faceted, systems-level approach to some of the world’s knottiest problems. The Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ Sustainability Systems Initiative (MSSI) seeks to mobilize Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ researchers around sustainability challenges and equip the next generation with the skills needed to address these issues. In its novel approach, the MSSI provides opportunities for researchers from very different disciplines to interact and co-design projects that address complex problems from a variety of perspectives. The outcome is a robust and vibrant community of committed sustainability researchers.
About Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ Office of Sustainability
Established in 2010, the Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ Office of Sustainability embeds climate action and sustainability into all of the University’s activities. It engages, supports, and connects students, staff, and faculty by providing strategic guidance and resources to foster a sustainable community.
The Office of Sustainability stewards Â鶹´«Ã½Íøվ’s flagship Sustainability Projects Fund, oversees the implementation of the Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ Climate & Sustainability Strategy 2020-2025, and offers sustainability programming for students, staff, and faculty members.
