DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the SSHRC Insight Grant Program is to provide su
 pport for long-term research initiatives of 2 to 5 years for emerging and 
 established scholars in the social sciences and humanities.\n\nResearchers
  in social sciences and humanities\, arts and literature who are planning 
 to apply to the upcoming SSHRC Insight Grant fall 2018 competition are enc
 ouraged to attend this information session\, which will include:\n\nA brie
 f presentation about the objectives and application requirements of the SS
 HRC Insight Grants program by Maureen Donato and Joanna Mastalerek\, Grant
 s Officers\, Social Sciences and Humanities Team\;\n\n\n	A presentation fro
 m Prof. Joan Bartlett (School of Information Studies) who has served on th
 e SSHRC Insight Grant adjudication committee and Prof. Aparna Nadig (Schoo
 l of Communication Sciences and Disorders)\, a successful SSHRC Insight Gr
 ant winner\, will provide potential applicants with information about the 
 peer-review system and strategies for preparing a successful Insight Grant
  proposal\;\n\n\n	A question and answer period where participants will be e
 ncouraged to raise any questions they may have about the program or the ap
 plication process. \n	\n	Those who are unable to attend or who may not feel 
 comfortable sharing their questions are invited to send their inquiries to

 alerek (ext. 7300) in advance so that they may be included in the session.
