DESCRIPTION:The 8th EBSI-SIS doctoral symposium will be held Friday Septemb
 er 26\, 2014 at the École de bibliothéconomie et des sciences de l’informa
 tion\, pavillon Lionel-Groulx\, Université de Montréal. This annual event 
 is organized by doctoral students at the Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ School of Information Stud
 ies and EBSI at the Université de Montréal.  The purpose of the symposium 
 is to provide both PhD and master's level students with the opportunity to
  present work that can then appear on CVs. Students can solicit feedback f
 rom symposium attendees in order to improve papers\, posters\, and present
 ations for later use in academic and professional conferences and journals
 \, if desired. The symposium also provides an opportunity to discover rese
 arch is being done by other students and make connections in their areas o
 f interest. The event is open to anyone with an interest in Information St
 udies research\, including Master's students and faculty.  Presentations\,
  posters\, a gourmet lunch\, training in scientific communication\, wine a
