Congratulations to Bénédicte D'Anjou, PhD in Information Studies student at the School of Information Studies (Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾), has received a Fonds de Recherche du Québec - Société et culture. The FRQSC scholarship is awarded on basis of research and academic merit.

Bénédicte’s Research:

Understanding women's experiences with reproductive health information – both the barriers and the factors that help them obtain, make sense of, and use that information in a variety of reproductive contexts – is essential to best support them in their reproductive health journey. As access to reliable reproductive health information is threatened around the world by increasing restrictions on reproductive rights and the proliferation of misinformation, this knowledge is more urgent and crucial than ever. This is why my doctoral research project explores women's experiences with reproductive health information by answering 4 key questions: What do women want to know about their reproductive health? How do they manage to obtain, understand and use this information? What obstacles and facilitators do they encounter? And finally, how does this information impact their lives? This research will generate knowledge that will lead to a better understanding of women's experiences with reproductive health information and inform the development of strategies that best support women in their reproductive health.
