DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Coun
 cil (SSHRC) Insight Development Grant Program is to provide support to res
 earch in its initial stages for up to two years for emerging and establish
 ed scholars in the social sciences and humanities.\n\nResearchers in the s
 ocial sciences and humanities\, arts\, and literature who are planning to 
 apply to the upcoming SSHRC Insight Development Grants competition are enc
 ouraged to attend this information session\, which will include:\n\nA pres
 entation about the objectives and application requirements of the SSHRC In
 sight Development Grants program by Joanna Mastalerek and Biljana Vasilevs
 ka\, Grants and Agreements Officers\, OSR\;\n	Presentations from Dr. Hamsa 
 Stainton\, Assistant Professor (School of Religious Studies)\, and Dr. Jor
 don Koch\, Assistant Professor (Kinesiology and Physical Education)\, who 
 will provide potential applicants with information about the peer-review s
 ystem and strategies for preparing a successful Insight Development Grant 
 proposal\;\n	A question and answer period where participants will be encour
 aged to raise any questions they may have about the program or the applica
 tion process.\n		Those who are unable to attend or who may not feel comforta
 ble sharing their questions are invited to send their inquiries to joanna.
