 h Support for New Academics program is to enable the completion of an indi
 vidual research project\; help support a new generation of researchers and
  university instructors by assisting new academics embarking upon their ca
 reers in establishing themselves as independent researchers and becoming c
 ompetitive at the national and international levels\; consolidate the rese
 arch system by supporting up-and-coming research academics and incite new 
 research academics who are beginning their careers to develop original res
 earch avenues.\n\nEmerging researchers in social sciences and humanities\,
  arts and literature who are planning to apply to the upcoming FRQSC Resea
 rch Support for New Academics 2019 competition are encouraged to attend th
 is information session\, which will include:\n\nA brief presentation about
  the objectives and application requirements of the FRQSC Research Support
  for New Academics Program by  Joanna Mastalerek\, Grants and Agreements O
 fficer\, Office of Sponsored Research\;\n \n\nPresentation from Prof. Eve-
 Marie Quintin (Faculty of Education) and Prof. Lisa Overholtzer (Anthropol
 ogy) who will share their insights and strategies for preparing a successf
 ul proposal\;\n \n\nA question and answer period where participants will b
 e encouraged to raise any questions they may have about the program or the
  application process.\n		Those who are unable to attend or wish to provide t
 heir questions in advance are invited to send their inquiries to Joanna Ma
 stalerek (ext. 7300) in advance so that they may be included in the sessio
