Original announcement (published Friday, April 10, 2026): �鶹��ý��վ websites are loading very slowly for users off campus due to a technical issue. �鶹��ý��վ users are advised to use the Virtual Private Network (VPN) until this is resolved.

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve and streamline �鶹��ý��վ’s digital experience, the �鶹��ý��վ app will be retired on May 4, 2026.

What this means for current �鶹��ý��վ app users:

As of May 4, 2026, the �鶹��ý��վ mobile app will no longer be updated or available to download.
If you currently use the app, please uninstall it from your device(s) before May 4, 2026.

�鶹��ý��վ services currently accessed through the app will continue to be available through �鶹��ý��վ’s web-based platforms.

Service Restored: REDCap System is back online

The REDCap system (Administration & Research) is now back online and fully operational.

Upgrade complete: Banner INB and Minerva now available

The required upgrade to Banner INB and Minerva, �鶹��ý��վ’s administrative system for student records and finance, has been successfully completed.

As of Sunday, February 15 at 3:00 pm, all affected systems are now fully operational, including:

Banner INB
Minerva (including student tax receipts and the �鶹��ý��վ MarketPlace)
myProgress (degree progress tracking)
myThesis (Thesis Examination Management)

Key computer components are becoming harder to source and more expensive. This is mainly because large cloud and AI providers are purchasing equipment in increasing volumes, leaving less availability for others.

Microsoft is reporting a service issue that may affect multiple Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, the Microsoft 365 suite, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.

Due to an unexpected system issue, the Minerva waitlists were inadvertently cleared. IT Services and Enrolment Services have resolved the situation, and waitlists are now functioning normally.

SharePoint "Alert me" is going away

Microsoft is currently retiring SharePoint's “alert me”, which will disappear from �鶹��ý��վ’s SharePoint sometime between January and July 2026. �鶹��ý��վ has no control over the exact moment when the feature will be removed within that timeframe.

Teams update: the Files tab is being renamed Shared

As part of Microsoft’s latest Teams update, the Files tab (in channels and chats) is being renamed Shared. This change is being gradually rolled out. Some �鶹��ý��վ users will see this change before others. For a little while, you may see both Files and Shared tabs across your Teams.

What’s changing?

Previously, there was a Files tab in Teams channels and chats.

That tab is being renamed Shared, and it will bring together:
