DESCRIPTION:Geometry of the Thurston metric on Teichmu&#776\;ller space.\n
 \nTeichmüller space can be equipped with a metric using the hyperbolic st
 ructure of a Riemann surface\, as opposed to the conformal structure that 
 is used to define the Teichmüller metric. This metric\, which is asymmetr
 ic\, was introduced by Thurston and has not been studied as extensively as
  Teichmüller metric or the Weil-Petersson metric. However\, it equips Tei
 chmüller space with a distinctive and rich structure. We give a survey of
  some recent results and discuss some open problems and conjectures.\n\n\n
