As one of a few U. S. legal scholars actively engaged in the study of comparative slavery and race relations in the Americas and Caribbean\, Professor Greene’s work on race and racial inequality embodies a hemispheric perspective. Her schola rship primarily explores emerging forms of workplace discrimination at the intersection of race\, color\, gender\, religion\, and national origin.  She has coined two recognized terms in the field of labor and employment l aw - “misperception discrimination” and “grooming codes discrimination.” H er internationally recognized work in these areas has shaped the enforceme nt stance of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)\, administ rative law judges\, federal courts\, and civil rights organizations in civ il rights cases. Notably\, the 11th Circuit and Ninth Circuit Court of App eals have endorsed Professor Greene’s published definition of race as a le gal authority on the social construction of race and as a practicable defi nition for constitutional decision-making respectively.\n\nThis year's Bla ck History Month is co-organized by The Office of the Provost and Vice-Pri ncipal (Academic)\, the Black Students' Network of 鶹ýվ\, and the 鶹ýվ African Students Society (MASS) with generous support from across the uni versity and city.\n DTSTART:20200203T230000Z DTEND:20200204T003000Z LOCATION:Salle du tribunal-école Maxwell-Cohen (NCDH 100)\, Chancellor Day Hall\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 1W9\, 3644 rue Peel SUMMARY:Mois de l'histoire des Noir.e.s: Cérémonie d'ouverture avec la prof .
