This competition is open to pe rmanent residents of Canada\, Canadian citizens\, or international scholar s. This is a one-year funded position\, with the possibility of renewal\, to begin in September 2024.\n\nThe Institute of Health Sciences Education \n\nThe Institute of Health Sciences Education at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ promot es excellence and scholarship across the continuum of health sciences educ ation. Over 50 Faculty and Associate Members aim to: advance the field of health sciences education through scholarship\; stimulate interest in educ ational research and development\; serve as a resource for curriculum deve lopment and innovation\; and ensure that research informs educational prac tice.\n\nPostdoctoral Fellowship\n \n Educational Opportunities:\n\nThe goal of this Postdoctoral Fellowship is to foster interest and expertise in he alth sciences education research that is aligned with the Cruess Chair in Medical Education at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾. Accordingly\, areas of scholarship include th e following: Faculty Development\, Professional Identity Formation\, Teach ing and Learning in the Clinical Environment\, the Culture of Medical Educ ation\, and Educational Leadership.\n The Postdoctoral Fellow will work on site at the Institute of Health Sciences Education under the supervision o f Dr. Yvonne Steinert\, the Richard and Sylvia Cruess Chair in Medical Edu cation. They will also have opportunities to participate in ongoing resear ch at the Institute\, exploring new areas of inquiry and shaping future re search interests. They will participate in educational events at the Insti tute and will be encouraged to disseminate research findings as appropriat e.\n\nEducational Background and Experience:\n\nSuitable candidates must h old a PhD in a social science or humanities discipline (e.g.\, medical ant hropology\, psychology\, education) with demonstrated experience in qualit ative research methodologies\, an excellent knowledge of the theories and approaches that underlie these methods\, and an ability to translate ideas into research questions. Previous success with grant applications\, publi cations\, and scientific presentations is strongly recommended\, as is the ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team environment. \n\nDuration: A one-year full-time appointment\, with the possibility of r enewal\n Start date: September 2024\n Stipend: $55\,000 (plus benefits) as w ell as travel to a national or international meeting in Health Sciences Ed ucation\n\nApplication Process\n\nFor further information please contact D r.
