Since October 10, 2024, when discussions on the renewal of the collective agreement began, the parties have met thirty times and have maintained ongoing exchanges on a range of proposals.

On February 11, the employer’s representatives informed the union representatives that the employer was considering the possibility of seeking conciliation to help advance discussions. The union indicated that it would proceed with a request and submitted one to the Ministry of Labour the following day.

At the meeting on February 12, the union presented its monetary proposals. Discussions will resume once a conciliator has been appointed by the Ministry of Labour and has convened the parties.
