 ltant in the areas of social innovation\, strategies for sustainable devel
 opment\, strategic change\, visionary leadership and inter-organizational 
 collaboration.\n\nBefore joining the University of Waterloo in 2007 as the
  JW McConnell Chair in Social Innovation\, Frances Westley held the positi
 on of Director\, Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies (2005-2007) at
  the University of Wisconsin- Madison. Other positions she has previously 
 held include the James Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ Professor of Strategy at Â鶹´«Ã½Íøվ’s
  Faculty of Management\, director of the Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾-Dupont Initiative on Socia
 l Innovation and director of the Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾-McConnell Masters program for Nati
 onal Voluntary Sector leaders – an innovative executive masters customized
  for the leaders of voluntary organizations across Canada.\n\nFrances West
 ley serves on numerous advisory boards including Resilience Alliance Board
  of Science\, World Conservation Union-Conservation Breeding Specialist Gr
 oup\, the Stockholm Resilience Center\, the SARAS Institute and Evergreen 
 Canada. She is on the editorial board of several journals\, including Jour
 nal of Applied Behavioral Science and Ecology and Society. She is the reci
 pient of several awards including the Ulysses S. Seal award for innovation
  in conservation and the Corporate Knights Award.\n\n \n\n \n
