The program is offered biannually (spring and fall) and includes g rants that can go up to $15\,000 within 6-month program period per inventi on/technology\, along with personalized business mentorship. For 2026\, th e budget will allow for up to 10 projects per round to be selected. Fundin g of the TechAccelR proposals is at the sole discretion of the Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ Engi ne team. We will look at the comparative merit of the application pool and the project criteria.\n\nThe TechAccelR grants are short-term for project s that can be completed within up to 6 months maximum\, and that are neede d to advance or enhance an invention/technology in order to improve the sc ope and value of Â鶹´«Ã½Íøվ’s IP and enable researchers to obtain further fund ing for commercialization. The TechAccelR grants are not intended to suppl ement existing funded projects. The TechAccelR project proposals are co-wr itten with the PI's technology transfer manager\, please consult with them at least 2 weeks in advance of the proposal deadline. Some examples of th e short-term scope of work goals: improved claims in future patent applica tions\, new uses/applications of existing technologies\, gathering additio nal data to further demonstrate proof of concept (e.g. increased robustnes s/reliability of AI/ML models)\, obtaining data to compare/benchmark the t echnology to existing technologies to show its competitive advantages.\n\n In addition to funding\, teams are matched with a Ronald Chwang Entreprene ur-in-Residence to help advance their technology commercialization plan an d provide industry connections.\n\nProgram Objectives\n\n\n Validate early stage technologies\n Advance the invention's Technology Readiness Level fro m TRL 3 to higher\n Accelerate the technology’s commercialization and devel opment plan - achieve problem-solution fit faster\n Further develop the res earch to strengthen eligibility for additional funding\n Research team work s closely with the assigned business mentor\, gaining from their experienc e\, knowledge\, and industry connections\n\n DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20260701 DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20260913 SUMMARY:Call for Applications: TechAccelR Grants URL:/engineering/channels/event/call-applications-tech accelr-grants-366078 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
