Biography: 

Dr. Kevin Schwartzman obtained his AB in History and Science from Harvard College, followed by his MD and then residency training in internal medicine and respiratory medicine at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾.  He then obtained his MPH  in Quantitative Methods at the Harvard School of Public Health, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in tuberculosis epidemiology at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾. He then held Chercheur-Boursier Clinicien scholarships  from the FRQS.  Dr. Schwartzman previously served as Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ residency program director for Adult Respirology (2008-2013) and Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ and MUHC Respiratory Division director (2014-2023).   Since 2023 he has been Associate Chair for Research in the Department of Medicine.  He also chairs one of the four provincial worker compensation committees for respiratory diseases in Québec. 

As a Senior Scientist at the Research Institute of the MUHC (at the Respiratory Epidemiology and Clinical Research Unit, within the Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation--CORE), Dr. Schwartzman's research involves the evaluation of interventions addressing the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis.  He focuses on cost-effectiveness using decision analysis modeling, and also conducts evidence syntheses.
