 offrent aux participants une chance d’approfondir leurs connaissances par 
 le biais de notre communauté académique.  Description : This seminar aims 
 to demystify the rich traditions of North Indian classical music\, providi
 ng the tools to better understand and appreciate it. We will discuss the c
 oncepts of raga (melody)\, tala (rhythm) and rasa (mood)\; the instruments
 \, such as the sitar\, tabla\, bansuri\, santoor and voice\; Indian cultur
 e as it applies to music\, such as the guru-shishya-parampara (teacher-dis
 ciple-tradition) method of learning\, and philosophical or spiritual aspec
 ts associated with the practice of and listening to this music. The sessio
 n will include live demonstration\, video examples and participatory music
