What is theÌýMC3HÌýSummerÌýInternship Program?Ìý

The internship offers Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ undergraduate and graduateÌýstudents the opportunity to gain experience through participation in research projects. During the summer, eachÌýinternÌýis involved in aÌýresearch project at the intersection of climate change and healthÌýunder the supervision of aÌýmemberÌýof the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ Centre for Climate Change and HealthÌýandÌýwill receive a modest stipend.Ìý

Who can apply? (Eligibility Criteria)Ìý

  • Senior undergraduate (U2 and above) and graduate students at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ (MD/MDCM students included)

  • Students from all disciplinesÌýÌý

  • Students interested inÌýresearch at the intersection of climate change and healthÌý

  • Student that is in good academic standing and returning in Fall 2026Ìý(proof of enrollmentÌýrequired)Ìý

What do Interns do?Ìý

  • Supervisors will distribute hours at their own discretion and will therefore be project specific.

  • Develop a work plan in collaboration with your supervisor outlining the activities and contributions for yourÌýinternship.ÌýÌý

  • Present the results of their research at Global Health NightÌýstudent poster sessionÌýin Fall 2026Ìýand/or an MC3HÌýmini-seminar.Ìý

What do Interns get out of this program?Ìý

  • Earn $3,000Ìýover the course of the internship.ÌýÌý

  • Gain hands-on research experience in a vibrant, interdisciplinary academic setting.ÌýÌý

  • Have the opportunity toÌýpresent your work,ÌýfosteringÌýknowledgeÌýtranslation and public speaking skills.Ìý

  • Develop your professional network through work with your supervisor.ÌýÌý
