Today, the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Sport, announced more than $558 million in discovery research funding across Canada, including the largest investment in research from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) this year. Through the 2018 Discovery Grants, Scholarships and Fellowships competition, 130 �鶹��ý��վ researchers received funding totaling more than $30 million.

Robert's research investigates how senior citizens, who wish to live independently and remain in their own homes for as long as possible, can benefit from the results of 20 years of research in Personal Information Management (PIM).

Congratulations to �鶹��ý��վ School of Information Studies faculty member Dr. Catherine Guastavino on receiving an NSERC Engage Grant from the Natural Sciences & Engineering Research Council of Canada, in partnership with Montreal-based industry partner and market leader Applied Acoustics Systems. Doctoral student David Romblom (Music Technology and Multimodal Interaction Lab) will take a leading role in this project on the development of virtual acoustics models to enhance user experience with software musical instruments.
