Jacinthe Dion a sauté sur l’occasion et proposé sa candidature pour étudier à celle de Hong Kong, une destination de choix pour elle. L’étudiante a eu la chance d’être acceptée et est allée dans le pays asiatique du 28 août au 20 décembre.

The Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism invites Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ students and recent Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ graduates to submit abstracts of essays or work in progress for presentation on Friday, March 15, 2019 at a half-day conference to be held as part of the 2018-2019 Disability and Human Rights Initiative.

The Faculty of Law is pleased to welcome Brian Peebles to its administrative team. He took over the role of Assistant Dean (Strategic Planning) on October 9, 2018.

Before joining Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾, Peebles worked as Legal Counsel for the public sector team of technology multinational Oracle, in Toronto. He has completed a BA in Political Science at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ and worked for the Institute for Research on Public Policy before completing joint JD and LLL degrees at the University of Ottawa and articling at Norton Rose Fulbright.

The book has also earned an honourable mention for the 2018 Canada Prize from the International Academy of Comparative Law.

We are delighted to announce that BCL/LLB candidates Laura Davis and Jared Miller were hired to help support Indigenous initiatives at the Faculty of Law.

Laura and Jared will seek to build partnerships with Indigenous communities and organizations, meet with stakeholders to determine the needs of Indigenous students at the Faculty, and further develop the L.E.X. Outreach program to reach more Indigenous youth.
