Nkabom collaborative

The Secretariat team of the Nkabom Collaborative had the pleasure of visiting the Québec Government Office in Dakar (DGQD), where they met with Iya Touré, General Delegate, and Marina St-Louis, Advisor for Educational Affairs and Cooperation.

As part of the Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ delegation, team members Pierre Brunache Jr., Priscilla Boadi, and Valerie Ndiweni joined a meeting led by Dr. Patrick Cortbaoui, Managing Director of the Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ – Margaret A. Gilliam Institute for Global Food Security.

During the discussion, the team presented the vision and mission of the Nkabom Collaborative, highlighted its Ghanaian partners, and explored avenues for future collaboration. The conversation was further enriched by Â鶹´«Ã½Íøվ’s ongoing projects in Senegal, including:

  • 2024–2026 | Adaptation des jardins maraîchers (Jardins Intégrés de Résilience) – Funded by Québec’s Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie (MRIF) in partnership with the FAO.
  • 2025–2027 | CGIAR Agricultural Innovations in the 21st Century – Funded by SPIA-CGIAR in partnership with Université Gaston Berger and ISRA.

This fruitful exchange reaffirmed the importance of building bridges across education, research, and innovation, while strengthening ties between Quebec, Senegal, and Â鶹´«Ã½Íøվ’s broader international collaborations.
